First planner charm dangles

Made these planner charm dangles for my niece and her best friend before they head off to college. I liked making them I think am while they are gone I might continue to make charms they can add and change out as they wish. I think I did ok for my first try. Hopefully they will be able to stand up to amount of use the girls will be using the planners

Aluminum prayer box made from a soap box

Recycled a Zest soap box to make this prayer box.
Adhered aluminum foil to opened soap box. Embossed with WeRMemoryKeepers' next level series embossing folder. Trimmed excess foil and cut side tabs off "the lid" and re-adhered to the sides.
Used large rhinestone brad for the lid pull and small brads for the feet. Added rhinestone tape around the entire box.

Centerpiece

When asked to do a centerpiece for a table at a Mother's Day tea this is what I came up with after changing my mind many times.
Branches cut from backyard tree some white and gold spray paint,my butterfly Christmas ornaments and some string beads.  I pulled the bark off some of the limbs and pulled the flower heads off some silk flowers and spray painted gold to use as table scatter on top of a black burlap runner.  The container was a gift box I had received sometime last year. All in all an statement piece for $10 in spray paint

Sweet sixteen popcorn and cupcakes

So my nieces Sweet 16 party happened this past Saturday and it was wonderful.
I made a DIY cupcake stand that I craft-lifted from Etsy via Pinterest. This is my rendition of said cupcake stand, as I was unwilling to purchase from the Etsy shop for $200.
But being the pack rat that I am I was able to make the stand with a dress form that I've had for a few years pieces of MDF and pieces of pegboard that I had received for free.
So all in all of this cupcake stand was for the cost of $16 which was the cost of the fabric and the trim that we use as the waistband.
I have seen a lot of popcorn bars for weddings and such on Pinterest and since the theme is Hollywood I thought popcorn would be great.  The popcorn was a hit, although I did not plan very well and I have popcorn, popcorn, popcorn galore that I and the kids at my work will be eating for days to come.
Lemon pepper seem to be the flavor that was the biggest hit, followed by ranch, cinnamon sugar, and then garlic parmesan.
For a quick back to drop I use Christmas net lights, that yes I had already on hand, to help create the ambience and lighting for the party.

Cupcake anyone?

Here are some cute cupcakes I made at a class at PaperTales in Point Loma. I had been dying to take this class on these cute visual treats and my schedule finally opened up:-)
Now I am totally addicted and have been making them over and over and trying out new flavors and colors.
Yes! They look good enough to eat but they are just for decoration as they are made out of Plaster of Paris and spackle
Awesome right!!!
